We read every message that comes in. Whether you have spotted a rate or a figure that is no longer up to date, you have a question about how one of our Malta calculators works, or you would like to suggest a calculator we do not yet offer, here is how to reach us.

We aim to reply within a few working days.
Reporting an incorrect or out-of-date figure
Accuracy matters to us more than anything else on the income-tax, salary and VAT tools. So that we can put it right as quickly as possible, please tell us:
- which calculator it is (ideally a link to the page);
- which figure you believe is wrong (for example an income-tax band, a VAT rate, a stamp-duty rate, or a maternity-leave entitlement);
- the value you would expect and, if you have it, the official source (the Commissioner for Tax and Customs, the Income Tax Act or VAT Act, or a Legal Notice in the Government Gazette).
We correct verified errors quickly and note any material change in the update log of the calculator concerned.
Official sources we rely on
Every figure in our Malta calculators is checked against primary, official sources before it goes live. These are the main ones, by area of calculation (last checked: 2026-06-15):
| What it covers | Official source | Last checked |
|---|---|---|
| Income tax bands and rates, tax-status (single, married, parent) computations | Commissioner for Tax and Customs (CFR) — Personal Tax | |
| VAT rates (standard, reduced and exempt-with-credit supplies) | Commissioner for Tax and Customs (CFR) — VAT | |
| Statutory basis for the charge to income tax and chargeable income | Income Tax Act (Chapter 123 of the Laws of Malta) | |
| Statutory basis for VAT, registration thresholds and the place of supply | Value Added Tax Act (Chapter 406 of the Laws of Malta) | |
| Legal Notices and amendments published in the Government Gazette (consolidated laws) | Legislation of Malta — official Government legislation portal | |
| General CFR guidance, tax rates, forms and contact channels | Commissioner for Tax and Customs (CFR) — tax legislation | |
| Data protection rights and complaints | Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) |
